About The Author

Rose M. Dawson, is a 58-year-old wife, mother of four, stepmother of three, and grandmother of eight. She is the firstborn of eight children to her parents, Sam Woods Jr. and Mattie Johnson Woods. Rose was born in Pickens, Mississippi and raised in Vaughan, Mississippi. As a child, she attended Linwood Elementary School of Vaughan, Mississippi and eventually completed for secondary education at Benton High School.

At the age of 13, Rose became a member of the Madvernize Missionary Baptist Church of Vaughan, Mississippi, the Future Business Leaders of America, and the Future Farmer of America. Three years later, she joined the Young Teens organization, while maintaining the status as an honor student. A decade later, Rose became a volunteer for Granny Kittyland, a daycare center, and later an employee. She currently holds certificates as a Personal Care Attendant, Home Health Aide, CPR Certified, Unit Secretary, and Mandt Training. Rose also works for the Mississippi Department of Rehabilitation.

Rose is passionate about writing and is the author of "Running in the Dark: My Untold Stories.'' She is currently working on her second literary project, Winter Passion.
